Our company got acquired!

On Monday, when I just stepped into my office, my officemate told me that my boss was looking for me. Ummm, at the beginning of the week, my boss was looking for me before I came to the office? It didn't sound that good. With the big smile, my officemate calmed me down, saying " I am 120% sure that it is a good thing". That sounds much better. But what will it be? Salary raise? Promotion? All are unlikely.

Then boss came into the office and closed the door. Saying, xxx just acquired us for $350 million!!! Woooo, it is so great! The first thing came into my mind was - "So does it mean I am rich now?" (Shame. Always thinking about money!) After I calculated, I figured that I wouldn't be a millionaire, but with the decent money. I calmed down a little bit. Then started regretting that I should exercise my options earlier, so I don't need to pay the huge income taxes.

The whole day, just like the most people in the company, I couldn't concentrate on my work at all. When the news got leaked, I can't stop sharing this great news with my family and my friends. They shared my happiness ^_^

This year is just such a great year for me so far. At the beginning of the year, I finally stepped out of my previous relationship and decided to move on with more appreciation to the loving God. Then I moved to a really nice complex with my parents. Since then, I've never worried what I should eat any more. Then, I met my beloved one and enjoyed the long-waited love. Then my company got acquired!

All these things make me feel that I am such a lucky man this year. Then, what I should do next???? Should I stay in the new company? Should I pursue some advanced degrees? Should I start my own company as an entrepreneur? Should I move back to China? Or should I settle down - get married, form family & raise kids? All these questions suddenly jumped before me. Now I am confused. But it is a good confuse :)
