Stress management

Today, company had a special lunch seminar - stress management. A lady health educator from Kaiser Permanente gave us the speech. It seems that lots of people really stressed out in the life because the room is almost full. (But who knows, maybe some people just came for the free lunch, like me :)

Anyway, as far as I remembered, she provided two techniques to help manage the stress. One is "deep breathing" and the other is "exercising". One coworker brought that she was still stressful even if she exercised every day. However, she didn't really relax because she was still planning the work stuff while she was on the treadmill :(

Hey you know what I got? All those techniques she provided can also be found in Bible ...... Interesting, right? It is a big topic. I can't afford time to discuss here :)

It is a coincidence that last night I just watched the movie "Anger Management" by Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson. It was comic, but also reveal something about stress management. That is, you got to relieve your stress otherwise you will suddenly break out like a "never complaint cashier". How to relieve the stress? Up to you, maybe beat somebody or smoke weed which are not that good. But at least you won't kill people or yourself :)

If you believe in God, praying is a very good way to help you manage your stress... But some people just don't want to do that.

  • Hey, Charles, I like this diary, may I copy to my blog? In my way, a good sleep or a hot shower may do some help to get off the stress. In deed, there are lots of choices, such as having something for fun after work? Remember, do enjoy your life for now. Take care :)

    Everybody has their own ways to relax. Just make sure that it can relieve your stress :)
